After all the angst and drama of my last post I wanted to share some of the positive things going on around here too, starting with the beauty that I was enjoying in my backyard this morning!! I wanted to post a picture of our random lamp post in the middle of the yard, cause it always reminds me of Narnia and makes the place feel a bit like a magic garden :-)
One of our bottle brush trees that is always full of birds (and bees),
Our veggie garden growing fabulously after all the recent rain!!!

My sunflowers, and the little one that got munched by snails is growing back, YAY!

Our first rose since I pruned the bush, but there are plenty more buds about to bloom.

I absolutely love this tree. No idea what it is but it started blooming in the past couple of weeks and the flowers are 3 different shades of purple, it's absolutely beautiful!

On the last night that Jaden was away last week I surprised Brett with a candlelight dinner. I even got out the wine glasses. We got them as an engagement present but have never used them since neither of us like wine, but apple cider felt much fancier in a wine glass ;-)

We were joined by a third party for our romantic dinner since little miss Bethany decided to be all out of routine that day, but it was good anyway cause it meant daddy got to spend time with her which he sometimes misses out on when he does 12 or 13 hour days.

Your pics of the back yard look great, those purple flowers are stunning!
I am hoping to make a trip down in the next 4 weeks, maybe we could catch up and I could see your new place?
Luv Donna
oh that would be fabulous!!! Can't wait to have cuddles with little Aurora :-)
Your garden is beautiful!
We call that lovely purple bush Yesterday, Today and Forever because of the colour changes, but I'm sure it has a scientific name :-)
It is so lovely to read of your positive outlook. Trust all is going well with Jaden home.
I love your garden, and it sounds like a wonderful place for Bethany to explore. :)
The purple flowering "tree" sounds remarkably to me like a Morning Glory, which is more of a creeper, but I may be wrong - have been before.
It looks as if it won't be long before Bethany will be into everything.
Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Jillian
